May 14,2012 Dear Parents, I would like to thank all the parents who donated a book to our classroom from our book fair. Thanks to all of your support the book fair was a great success.
This year, Kindergarten was chosen to create a puzzle basket for the auction. We would like to have both adult and children puzzles. Thank you to everyone who has donated and item, please send in your donation by the end of this week, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
We have started theme 9 (Spring is Here) in language arts we are on week 2 and have introduced two new alphafriends Ethna Elephant and Willy Worm. In math we have introduced the math concept of subtraction and we will be testing simple addittion on Wednesday May 16,2011 please review simple addittion on IXL. In science we are learning about the earth and sky, we are still taking magazine donations.

April 30,2012 Dear Parents, This week we are very excited ! Our book fair is going on this week from 9:45am-4:00pm. Parents can also help build our classroom library by donating a book from our classroom wish list (located in room 5 and on the classroom news tab). Our annual sholarship auction is here! We will start our new language arts theme this week (Spring is Here). In math we will review simple addittion and learn the vertical addition process. In science we are learning about the earth and sky, we are still taking magazine donations. We are learning about consumers and producers in social studies. Please practice prayers Our Father, Hail Marry and Angel of Peace. We are learning about The Holy Spirit and how he is our helper in religion. 12/05/2011 Dear Parents, I would like to congratulate those students who have been working really hard on IXL: from 60 min. to 120 min. Sebastian Verduzco, Ronaldo Mendoza and Jenniffer Benitez. Great Job!!!
This Thursday is December 8th, is the Immaculate Conception feast day, we will be attending mass, all students must be in full uniform (please bring P.E uniform in a bag, students will change later in the day). December 11th is our Primary Academy liturgy at 11:00am. All students must attend in full uniform, We will meet at the front of the Church at 10:50 and we will process into together and sit in the front as a class.

This week is the first week of Advent, every morning we will have a short prayer service, (except Mondays) you are welcomed to stay for our prayer service.
Primary Academy Mass will take place Sunday December 11,2011,
We are also asking for toy donations for our annual toy drive; if you are able to donate a toy please bring it on or before December 2, 2011.

11/21/2011 Dear Parents, I would like to take this time to wish you a great Thanksgiving and give thanks to God and you for giving me the opportunity to teach your child. Thank you for all your support!
Thank you parents for your participation in our class friendship fruit salad, it was a success thanks to all of you!
This week is a short week due to our Thanksgiving Holiday, school will be closed on Thursday and Friday and school will resume on Monday November 28. Their will be no afterschool on Wednesday November 23. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Wednesday with our school families. A letter was sent home to inform you what your child is responsible for bringing on Wednesday the items should be delivered to their school family classroom.
Every Monday a raffle will be held in order to decide which family will take Our Lady of Fatima home for the week. You will be able to keep Our Lady for a whole week and we ask that she be brought back the following Monday so that the next family can take her home. A folder will accompany the statue with prayers and 2 rosaries.
I would also like to remind you that the Turkey family project is due November 28, have fun with it.
10/24/2011 Thank you for your cooperation with the Earthquake Drill. All went well. I would also like to thank all the families that attended mass on Sunday.
Our Kindergarten basket theme is: Entertainment We will need movie tickets, popcorn, boxed candy (like the ones at the movies) popcorn tub, or anything appropriate for our theme.
Please support our current fundraiser which is cookie dough and will begin October 24th-November 4th.
We are also in need of Halloween Candy for our annual Halloween Parade. Please donate or if you would like service hours every $10 spent = 1 hour, I would like to thank those parents who have already donated. Dismissal for October 31 is at 12:15 and their will be a carnival following the parade, I hope everyone will be able to participate. Thank You Ms. Dulce Have a great week!

This is a short week due to a teacher in-service on Friday.There is NO School this Friday and we are also participating in the "Great California Shakeout".It will start at 10:20 am and you or someone who is authorized to pick up your child can do so starting at 11:30am. Please make sure that your emergency card is up to date. Only people who areon your emergencycard are authorized to pick up your child. We are simulating an actual earthquake so if you would like to keep your child's backpack and lunch bag at home you may do so. Students will have time to eat snack but can bring a paper bag if they wish to. All students should be picked up by 11:30. There is no after school care. Student Council is asking all families to help donate candy for our annual Halloween Parade. If you would like to receive service hours, please note that $10 spent is = to 1 hour of service. We have exciting news! The Primary Academy is planning a field trip on Friday, October 14 to Lombardi Ranch which is a family owned and operated farm in Saugus. We will be sending home more information this week, including the permission slip.
In honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, we will have a special Blessing of the Animals tomorrow morning at 8:00. If you would like to have your family pet blessed, please make sure your pet is on a leash, in a carrier, etc. The animals must be taken home as soon as the blessing ceremony is finished. Pet snacks will be on sale only .50 cents.
This Wednesday is Picture Day at our school. The students may wear free dress. It is not alternative dress day (the students do not need $1.00 for that day)
9/27/2011 I would like to remind parents that Kindergarten gives progress reports by semester not quarterly. Kindergarten progress reports will go out in November, however you are welcome to check student progress on cornerstone.com.
We will have a bake sale on Wednesday! The items will cost between 25 cents to $1.00. If your child brings store bought items for sale, they will get free dress on Thursday!

9/19/2011 We will begin our IXL math program this week. Please see the letter I have enclosed with your students, user name and password. I have also enclosed a reading log, please read to your student every night and initial along with the behavior chart. A list of this weeks assingments for IXL are listed under the math tab.
I would like to thank those parents who have been bringing their promises, Thank You!! we still have some items that we need in class such as ink both black and colored for our class printer, large gallon size sizp lock bags and board games. I would like to remind you that we give 1 service hour for every $10.00 you spend, just save your receipt.
